1st off Looking 4 Kin is going nowhere.

She can live on without me around.

The chat is paid for for a year and is set to auto renew for with a credit card that has a long ways to go before it expires and it is not in my name so will go through. The website is also set up the same way.

The way I am feeling right now she is going to outlive me. Sick, so so sick, but off to the USA soon for some testing that can be done there much faster then here and hopefully some treatments.

Here is how I was feeling earlier this week (well still do but Looking 4 Kin is my legacy for my granddaughter and I ain't letting her die). It will give you all some history on Looking 4 Kin and some of the growing pains:

Looking 4 Kin - it is with great sadness that I announce the passing of looking4kin.com. Born in 2000 under the name JustGen.com she resided there until some serious illness and with the excellent help and suggestions of a wonderful little child she started making her move to looking4kin.com in July 2004 with move in in completed 10 October 2004.

The going has been rough over the years with several more relapses but the pleasure of the many hours spent with friends in the chat room helped ease the pain and worry and kept the mind, as did keeping the website in top running condition.

Her final demise started earlier this month when a chatter named Jimgentracer came into my house and posted a url to another website where upon looking it was found that I was duplicated, yes copied over there. The layout changed slightly but the links copied and pasted one in their entirety (every odd - _ ~ . ) I should have been flattered maybe but I could only think of what it took to become what the site was with a lot of it made while confined to bed.

So thanks to Sir Jim Kimpton in Wales and his websites http://www.gentracers.co.uk/ and http://www.looking4kin.co.uk I must bid you farewell.

You can see that what I claimed in my dying days is true by using http://www.archive.org/index.php and searching both his sites and me and looking at the sources to view the code and looking at earlier dates to see when each of us was created. You can also use google cached pages to view them. You can view when each site was registered using http://www.who.is/.

In my memory I would greatly appreciate that each person reading this make a contribution to the local Cancer Society in there area.

I will rest in peace, but I pray those who caused my premature death will get their just reward at some point.

Please feel free to visit me until my domain and chat services expire. I will likely not be there long to enjoy your company.

Ok again I repeat Looking 4 Kin is going nowhere.

Rest in peace Looking4kin Dot Com
I am deeply saddened to read about the iminent passing of our close relation, albeit, possibly illegitimate but not proven

I hope it Rests in peace with the knowledge that all the hard work was sincerely appreciated and Im sure the genealogy world is a better place for the website being part of it.

Your co.uk cousin will be saddened to hear of your demise but then again Im sure she will be even more determined to carry on in a very similar way that you did for almost 5 years and of course to have the same if not more success that you did.

Regards

Jimgentracer

Thanks guys for your encouragement when I am in this state I am at the moment (and you know where I stand) It reallys shows the deep compassion you feel. Also thanks for showing the whole wide internet what a lovely bunch of people genealogists are.

World please don't judge us by their actions. Most genealogists are honest and don't use underhanded tactics. Most genealogists are out there to help one another.

Nothing like kicking the heck out of someone when they are down on the ground already huh?

I must ask why a upright, better then us place has to come to out house to recruit using the awful tactics they do. I go no where near anyone elses chatroom to recruit and I ask that everyone else who does use other chats not use their contacts there to get people into ours. There are proper ways of getting your site noticed. There are proper ways of getting higher rankings in the search engines. Riding on the backs of others like a leach is not the proper way to do it, although some really just don't care about anyone but themselves. They have been online for 4 years now (under their old name) and should not have to use these sort of tactics.

Again I repeat - at no time ever have we needed out chatters and website users to be more active in the site. Sadly the message boards have to be replaced which I am working on at the moment but the drugs make the mind foggy so everything I do is hard, really hard work and takes much longer when in this state.

Again I repeat - Looking 4 Kin is going nowhere. But we need your elp. How can you help keep us afloat?

This is where we have to pull together and work har as a group to save what we want. Precious time is wasting even talking about this let alone spending any time worried about it.

Anyone who wishes to follow them over there please let me know and I will remove your name from our site.

Thanks

Just M

ps Rosey never did any of the link building on Looking 4 Kin - just to clarify a rumor that she did all kinds of work on the links which is why it was felt they were up for grabs - that is just untrue.
