Looking 4 Kin Code Stolen by gentracers.co.uk
Please do read it all very carefully.
For anyone who does not believe that our Looking 4 Kin site was lifted and has been took down for the moment please go to Internet Archives. Do some digging around and you will find several pages with my code on it just changed a wee bit but on THIS ONE is the absolute proof.
Haha the silly couple forgot to remove Looking 4 Kin from their code (maybe this is why they felt they had to register a Looking 4 Kin name but this is way before they registered their name). To view the code on any website you right click on the webpage and then click on View Sources and there it is in the pop up window - the code.

I have saved all the code from every page on their site before they removed it something else that is in all my keywords is Worldwide with a capital W in an odd spot and genealogy spelt geneology, in the exact same spot and order as where I have it. In the links themselves there are many links that have my associate id info for different sites.
Do some digging on your own and if you feel they did the right thing then by all means support their site - If not then support ours.
What took years in the making of this site was copied, pasted and placed on the other site in a matter of days where they claim all of our hard work as Jim's and Rosey's Links on the main page of their site. And Jim (who claims to be a Professional Genealogist - not very professional if you ask me to steal someone elses work) and Rosey (Yes the Rosey from Northern Ireland who pretended to be our friend in Looking 4 Kin) your links looked great - just sad how they came about. Proud of all your hard work I hope. It took a lot to lift all those pages but it took us 9 years to build Looking 4 Kin. I hope you are proud that you took from a child what she helps with and will take over once I am departed.
Rosey you may try and claim that you had no part in this to those who respected you but what is this http://rosemaryharper.co.uk/links/linksmenu.htm ? And remove it if you wish as it has been saved.
If you agree with their actions by all means support their site if not please help ours grow and become busier.

Jim you didn't have to confess that you did it. It was not only the weblinks you coppied it was the entire Looking 4 Kin website. And you posted it without changing our code. Anyone taking the time to view the sources know who authored your website. What a smart person you are to leave the code that says who the author is in your pages.
This show the world what sort of person you really are. Nothing else has to be said. You said it all both here and on the internet atchive site where it clearly states that Looking 4 Kin did the pages.
It is a sad day when a fellow genealogist stoops to sheft of someone elses work and claims it as theirs.
I hope you feel good about yourself and very proud of what you have done.
Please world don't judge all genealogists accordingly. Most are honest, hardworking and helpful people.

I am absolutely appalled at the actions of the gentracers group. Having watched Looking 4 Kin grow from Connections to JustGen to Looking 4 Kin over the last 9 years. Knowing how the site came about knowing the heartache and tears shed during some very low times. Knowing that working on the site kept your mind busy and off the problems and kept your looking toward the future.
JustM you have been a friend and helper to so many of us. You have been our inspiration and taught us so much. Without you pushing me I would have never built a website, and my research would still be at a standstill I am sure. Hang in there girl it will get better.
What amazes me is the link to my website that they have. I have never talked to either jimgentracer or Rosey so how did they get my link and why would they link to a website as small as mine that only has a few headstones on it and 90% of them our family.
I also see the associate info you were talking about for at least 2 sites. Why are they linking to sites to help you? Or are they just too stupid to realize this is what they are doing.
They can lift your links M but they can’t take the site or the great reputation it has in the genealogy circles. They can’t by lifting your links raise higher in search engine results. They can’t by lifting your links ever hope to gain respect in the genealogy world. Instead they are seen as underhanded, lowdown cheats.
Many of us have come and gone from the chat for a number of reasons but as you know we do drop in and we do stay in contact with you and the others from Looking 4 Kin Chat. We think of you often and hold the highest respect for you.

As a past member I can only reiterate what Jonathan has said above.
I can not believe what I have read here today especially if the Rosey in question is the one I remember from Northern Ireland.
However I did visit this bogus site today and it looks dead in the water to me and so it should be.
